Care & FAQ
Preservation Rituals
As a natural material, green sandalwood benefits from considered care. To ensure its longevity, we recommend the following rituals:
- Environmental Balance: Avoid prolonged exposure to water, excessive heat, or direct sunlight to prevent fiber stress and splitting.
- Conditioning: Occasional conditioning with neutral botanical oils (such as Jojoba, Camellia, or Argan oil) helps preserve its character and luster.
- Storage: When not in use, always return your instrument to its custom pure linen pouch to allow natural resins to stabilize.
Common Inquiries
Q: Why has my tool changed colour?
A: This is a natural oxidation process. Green sandalwood is photosensitive; its shift from golden-brown to deep evergreen is a mark of authenticity and the wood’s organic life.
Q: Is the white crystalline bloom a defect?
A: Not at all. These shimmering filaments are crystallized resins—definitive proof of a high-resin, premium grade wood. You may simply wipe them away with a soft cloth.
